SERVER & DISCORD RULES

​Zero Tolerance

• Unwelcome behavior and speech based on (but not limited to) race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. NO hate speech, bullying, sexual harassment, trolling or bashing publicy or privately members of the community with the intent to hurt or isolate.

• NO Suicide, Suicide by Cop, Sexual Assault, Miscarrage, or Erotic Roleplay, these situations may be uncomfortable or sensitive to many people and should be avoided.

Suspension of Play or Eviction from Server

​

The following actions will have consequences that include but are not limited to; verbal warnings, suspension from play in the server for 24 hours to 72 hours, being Evicted from server, or being banned from the server until which time as staff decide to revoke the ban.

Metagaming

• The use of knowledge that the player is aware of but that the character has not yet learned. You cannot know or act on any information that your character hasn’t directly learned through roleplay. 

  • This can include but not limited to, discord discussions in public and private channels, watching someone's stream, or using information between your characters. 

  • This also includes watching or talking to someone and then without knowing in the city what's going on, then showing up on scene, or talking in a discord channel while in the city, whether you’re actively roleplaying or not.

​Powergaming

• The act of using a game mechanic, external information, or a roleplay concept to favor a specific character or story and give them an unfair or unrealistic advantage. 

  • This includes knowingly exploiting a script, in game bugs, running to “teleporters” such as government housing that no one else can enter, or running to a garage to put away your vehicle while in a chase or just after a robbery, or the use of “Character Farming” which is classified as transferring items, houses, cars or money between your characters.

  • The use of game modifications like “aim bots”, cheat codes, plugins and the like is strictly prohibited and classified under power gaming.

Combat Logging

• Logging off or forcibly re-spawning to avoid situations is not allowed. IF you have to log off but are in the middle of an RP situation, you will need acknowledgment from all parties involved. 

  • This includes police chases and/or medical scenes. If you know you do not have the time to complete a scenario, do not start it. 

​

FailRP

• Fail RP is doing something in a roleplay situation that anyone in real life would not realistically do. Some examples of FailRP are;

  • Going OOC in City or Out of Character

  • Not fearing for your life or safety, not everyone is a superhero or has the skills to be one. This includes any Emergency Services in a situation where they would not be able to get out of, without being unnecessarily injured. 

  • Unrealistic driving, driving with an incapacitated vehicle ect

  • Not RPing injuries, jumping up from a hospital bed to run from cops or after getting tazed doing the same

• RDM/VDM/No Intent RP

  • Killing another player for little or no engaged roleplay, deliberately attempting to start a fight with no roleplay or motive behind it. This includes using any sort of weapon, fists, melee weapons, guns, or a vehicle. (Random Death Match/Vehicle Deathmatch)

Administrative Process

​

The ticket system in discord under #open-a-ticket can be used for in game bugs or player reports. This allows staff to open an investigation into the issue with all the information in one place and available to all Admin to investigate. Please include all information you have in the ticket to ensure a speedy process. Please note that staff are NOT exempt from being investigated for misconduct and will recuse themselves from any investigation against them.

• To make a player report you must be directly involved in the situation, with the exception of exploiting and meta-gaming. 

  • Must be reported within 24 hours of the incident so an investigation into the incident can be opened by staff promptly. 

  • Please provide as much evidence as you have in the ticket. The burden of evidence is on the reporter

  • Spam reporting or abusing the player report section as a way to bully or single out one person will not be tolerated.

• In-game bugs will be assessed on a case by case basis for player compensation if there is anything lost due to no fault of the player. Please provide all information, including if you have photo or video evidence.

• Administrative rulings or instructions are to be heeded. Failure to do so can result in a harsher punishment. Staff decisions can be appealed if further evidence or information is available, please utilize the ticket system for this, but you need to provide evidence, not just indignation.

RolePlay Rules and Information

​

Common Sense

Common sense is to be used in the server. Remember we are a realistic RP server so as much realism as possible is to be used. Due to game mechanics this can sometimes be difficult and thus common sense should be used. If you have a question about a situation, RP the situation out and open a support ticket for staff. We fully support discussion on situations and are not against clarifying or changing something if it makes sense.

Breaking Character (OOC)  

There should never be any reason while in the city for you to break character. If you find yourself in a situation so bad that you feel that you need to go OOC the best thing to do is remove yourself from the scenario as soon as you can and get out of the city and report it if you feel there has been a rule break, please report to an admin through the ticket system.  This goes for staff as well, staff are not to go ooc, if there is a serious issue that needs staff, the staff will break character to deal with the situation.

Downed or New Life Rule  

No one can make you permanently “un-alive” a character if you are not ready to do so yourself. That being said, if you are in a situation where you would not be realistically found in a sufficient time (In a mountain crevice, tucked away in an uninhabited area, or dumped in the ocean) you must forget the 30 minutes (IRL time) prior to your attempted murder.

If you are in the fetal position and EMS brings you up you can remember what you like (if you choose to forget something who are we to stop you). 

​

Once you are flat on the ground (passed out) anything that happened once you were downed is not something that you are conscious for. 

​

No Criminal, Civilian, or LEO/SAFR should return to a scene if they have gone to the hospital for treatment. The ONLY exception to this rule is if there are three (3) or less LEO’s on duty and they were transported by EMS to the hospital, a LEO can come back to investigate only and cannot reengage in a hostile situation.

​

Safe Zones 

Safe zones are locations where hostile situations should not occur. Realistically there would be more security measures and staff at these locations and there would be less chance of something happening. These locations include; Hospitals, active Fire Stations, Police Stations, Commissioners Office, and the Court House. This does not include outside of these buildings, but please have common sense.  Please do not use green zones as a way to get out of RP.

​Corruption Rules 

Corrupt government role will not be against server rules however it will be heavily regulated and will have to have deep progressive RP. This will require you to meet with Admins to present what you're wanting to do. What won't be allowed is ANYTHING that could be considered powergaming.  

• Examples of fail Dirty LEO/SAFR RP

  • Giving or selling items only available to those jobs, remember common sense rule these items would be inventoried or serial numbers recorded 

  • Taking evidence from closed cases

Remember, if you decide to go this route it does come with RP consequences if you are caught, including, but not limited to, your character losing their job, or being charged criminally.

​

Dual Characters 

If you play on more than one character, your characters can know of each other, but cannot pass information, items, property or money between them. This is considered power gaming, meta gaming and character farming.

​

Medical scenes and SAFR  

SAFR will always be the ultimate medical authority on a scene when they are available to respond. They will have to be cleared by police before coming onto a scene if it's criminal in nature. One thing that we want to try and will be different is on a criminal scene of any type. If the person is in the “Passed Out” state they will remain there so Police can photograph them on scene then they can be transported. If they are just injured then SAFR will scoop and treat them like normal. This may seem like an inconvenience but this will allow for proper scene documentation and lets everyone have a shared RP experience. Officer discretion is used and can make the decision to let SAFR take the patients without documentation.

SAFR are not to be used as hostages, robbed or attacked while on duty, unless the person role-playing as SAFR is provoking the act or inserting themselves into an unsafe situation. Remember RP decisions have RP consequences. 

​

Value of Life

You must value your life at all times in a way that goes with your persona. If you are in a threatening situation that you cannot reasonably escape without being harmed, you must comply. As well as putting your character in a situation that could cause bodily harm. This applies to Criminals, Civilians and LEO/SAFR alike.

 

Forced RP

Forced RP is not allowed in any form. No Player is to be forced to perma their character, forced to spend life in prison without their consent, or forced to take their character in a direction they do not want. That being said, there are consequences for your RP decisions so please be mindful.

Time Limits

Server Reset -  You may not commit crime 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after a server restart. If you are in the middle of a RP scene when the 15 minute warning happens you can continue, and you can continue after server restart.

Shooting on Scene - Please allow for reasonable RP with officers before trying to shoot your way out of a situation (and please only shoot if it makes sense). This RP needs to align with server rules and does not leave people with a question as to why they were killed. We are NOT GTA Online or a “100K and Die'' Server.

Torture RP

Torture RP is allowed with limitations. ALL torture RP must be agreed upon by all parties outside of the city and a safe word agreed upon so that the torture can stop if either of the parties is becoming uncomfortable with the situation. We are not allowing dismemberment or disfiguration as part of the torture RP as it is not realistic in an RP setting.

Music

Please be mindful of people who may be streaming when playing music. Please make an announcement if your event or business will be playing DMCA music or not in creative ways to not break character. Your friendly neighborhood streamers will thank you for it!
