These rules are subject to change as the server grows and Admins feel that something needs to be tweaked. All Changes will be posted in announcements as well as at the bottom of this document.

BUSINESS RULES

Thank you for your interest in owning a business in New Hope RP! By owning a business you are contributing a deeper RP and to the economy of the server. With this responsibility we do ask a few things of you. First, please fill out a business application on the application page.

We welcome anyone who would like to own an existing business within the city or if you have a business idea that we have not yet implemented. These ideas could be something that uses an MLO or an idea that is completely freeform.

Minimum Hours

All businesses should be open whenever possible, but we understand there is so much more to city life than working. For the purposes of the minimum open times, please be open for a minimum of an hour of each day. If you are having trouble keeping the business open please start a hiring campaign, and as a last resort open a support ticket so staff can help find a solution.

If you will be away for an extended period of time please reach out to staff via the ticket system to find a solution while you are away.

Mechanic Shops
- 4 days a week
Dealerships
- 3 days a week
Food Primary Establishments
- 3 days a week
Liquor Primary Establishments
- 2 days a week
Entertainment Establishments
- 1 day a week

Local Employees

For businesses that provide a tangible item (food, drink, vehicles) we offer a set up so that these items can be sold while you or your staff are not in the server. It is up to you to make sure the inventory is stocked up so that the Local Employee can sell items on your behalf. They are not there to run your business for you.

Selling your Business

Looking to sell your business? You can do so by finding an interested buyer (who will have to agree to the business rules), or reach out to a Real Estate agent to find a purchaser or sell it back to the State.

Failure to follow the rules can result in disciplinary action, leading to the loss of your business.

MECHANIC RULES

Welcome Mechanics and Shop Owners to New Hope RP!! This short SOP will give you an idea of what is expected out of you as a mechanic and out of your shop as an owner. You will read this document and agree to it upon obtaining ownership of a mechanic shop or being employed

Accepting SOP

Owners will show employees a copy of this document they shall read and agree to it before starting employment. Owners will have to read and agree to this document before purchase.

Shops

All shops in New Hope are considered Mechanic shops at this time either (automobile or Motorcycle) this could change with population growth. Automobile shops can ONLY work on Automobiles and Motorcycle shops can ONLY work on Motorcycles.

Insurance

ALL shops are required (this is not optional) to accept Insurance there is NO exception to this rule at this time each shop is allowed to come up with their own way of accepting it. If this becomes an issue it will be taken care of by this document.

Areas of Work

All work on automobiles and motorcycle work will take place AT an authorized Mechanic shop NO exceptions to this rule. Except for in the case of aircrafts and boats this work will take place at either an airport or boat dock.

Material pay

Rate to pay for materials shall be set by this document no shop can charge more than the posted price if pricing needs to be changed owners can meet and agree to it and change it. Bartering will always be allowed as an alternative to paying cash

Current Value: $15.00 a piece.

Services

Service prices will be at shop owners discretion.

Shop addon’s

If you request or have working lifts or any other Addon’s that might be added in your shop or they are in your shop at the time of purchase you are expected to utilize these they are there to better the RP for everyone.

Vehicles with weapons

Under no circumstances shall any mechanic shop owner or employee add any weapon modification to a vehicle that comes into the shop. Any employee caught will be fired and cannot be a mechanic in server for a period of six months. Any owner caught doing this or allowing it to be done will be faced with losing their business for a length of time to be determined by server staff. This is considered your warning. (This will be considered powergaming and be subject to server rules and discipline also.)

Armor and Bullet Proof Tires

The only vehicles that will be allowed to have the option of armor or bullet proof tires are LEO vehicles, no exceptions! While it won't be required equipment for them they are allowed to have it at extra cost to them it won't be covered by the department or the State. Like all these rules consider this your warning if caught breaking this rule there will be discipline.

Discipline

Owner’s or Employee’s caught being in violation of any of the above mentioned items will face discipline. (there will be some exceptions to this when it comes to weapons)

Verbal warning
Written warning
Forced temporary leave or forced closure of shop for 24 hours
Forced temporary leave or forced closure of shop for 48 hours
Loss of employment and possible ban of being a mechanic, Loss of business.
